The TMAP, an ensemble team with shakuhachi, koto, soprano and piano, has performed their new arrangement of "There is Hope Through Music" on April 1, 2012.We are grateful for their warm hearts and encouragement for the people of Japan who are in need.
There is Hope Through Music  for the people of Japan.
There is Hope though Music for a devastated land.
So let’s sing together  A song for charity; Helping our friends who are in need.
Like the rising sun that shines each day,  We can rise and make a brighter way.

This beautiful song was composed by Robert Van Horne who joined "Stand for New Japan" project back in March 2011. We have several versions of this piece now.

Thank you for Mr. Shigeo Tachibana for contributing a performance of Sakuhachi Version.

We would like to pray so that all those who were affected by the tsunami and earthquake on March 11, 2011 find peace and hope in their lives soon.

New Mission
In response to the Northern Japan Earthquake and Tsunami, Kurosawa Piano Music Foundation (KPMF) has expanded its mission to include activities that will focus on providing children in distressed situations with opportunities to heal, develop and revitalize themselves through music programs which offer classes, instruments, music scores and concerts, in select countries and regions throughout the world, and especially with those who are rebuilding the stricken areas in Japan.

We thank you all for the support for the benefit concert held on April 29, 2011 to relieve the people of Japan. KPMF has co-produced this event and provided fiscal sponsorship for a group called "Play for Japan USA." This concert collected $50,000 and approximately $43K was donated to the following organization for emergency relief purposes.
Ashinaga (a Japanese Orphan Support Organization)
  Give to Asia
  Japan Center for International Exchange
  Red Cross Japan

We are in prayers for their recovery soon.

Long-Term Support

KPMF intends to provide long-term support to help and revitalize the people of Japan coming out of the unprecedented magnitude of disaster. We believe in the power of music that unites people and heal and encourage weary hearts. Our support programs will involve concerts, donation of instruments or score and provision of music classes.
